Poppy Shire

Considering that she is an author in print, there is a surprising paucity of information about Poppy Shire. I think she is a British author. She has written a series of fantasy pony stories for younger readers about the adventures of a various little girls who ride a magic carousel which plunges its riders into horsy adventures. I will add more biographical information when I get hold of it.

Collectors Info:
All paperback editions. The series was originally published by Macmillan in the UK, then reprinted by Harper Collins (possibly USA?) in a slightly different format with a new illustrator (Ron Berg) and with slightly scary cover art! Numbers 5 and 6 were also for some reason swapped over in the Harper Collins edition of the series. The books are still in print and are easy to find in the UK and USA.
